Our cholesterol was a little high at our last check up, so in the interest of the fact that Jake would like to lose some weight and I have a family history of heart disease, we are trying to up our game in making sure that our meals are a more heart healthy. I would also like a mental boost on menu planning. It been more of a dread than anything lately, so it was nice to look for and find some new recipes.

Mon. 1/23: Stuffed Zucchini Enchilada Boats**
Tue. 1/24: Fabulous Orange Chicken**
Wed. 1/25: Cheesy Ham and Broccoli Quinoa Bites with garden and fruit salad
Thu. 1/26: Burrito Skillet**
Fri. 1/27: Chicken Apple Sausage Couscous
Sat. 1/28: Sweet Basalmic Glazed Pork Loin
Sun. 1/29: Grilled Veggie Pasta Salad**
Mon. 1/30: Southwest Chicken Barley Chili**
Tue. 1/31: Thai-Style Fish and Creamy Couscous Packets** -use cod or hake

*Bunless Beef and Bean Burgers -really good and easy. Definitely worth repeating.
*Chicken and Spinach Soup with Fresh Pesto- I would double it next time. But there should be a next time.
*Broccoli Bacon Salad -Not any better than any broccoli salads I've made before.
*Crunch Olive Oil Roasted Chickpeas - good enough. I would add more salt next time.
*Peanut Noodles with Chicken and Veggies - meh
*Marmalade Chicken -didn't get to it
*Ground turkey and cabbage -you need plenty of sides with it to fill a family, but it was good! It didn't look that appetizing, but the flavors were good.
*Whole Wheat Rolls -good
*Skinny Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo: meh
*Stuffed Zucchini Enchilada Boats -yum! What a great new way to have zucchini!
*Fabulous Orange Chicken --good enough to repeat
*Burrito Skillet -we had to do a bit of our own thing with it because of lacking ingredients, but it was good.
*Grilled Veggie Pasta Salad -didn't get to it
*Southwest Chicken Barley Chili -it was good enough when we first had it, but the leftovers weren't good.
*Thai-Style Fish and Creamy Couscous Packets -no. Just no. We choked it down.
